We are on our way

We had our first fundraiser on Wednesday night! Boy was that wild. Everyone was very positive and happy to help. We had a list of people to say, "thank you" to, but it mysteriously got lost. So THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU to everyone who donated!
If you came that night, then you witnessed a miracle. If you didn't, I'll tell you about it.
Wednesday came. Katie and I were supposed to go to "The Corner" early to get everything organized. We were leaving our house when we got a phone call saying that the karaoke machine that we were supposed to be using broke. (Here comes the anxiety.) I quickly remember a childhood memory of the Bradford's having a karaoke machine that I was so jealous of. We ran to the Bradford's and they were so happy to let us use it! The machine didn't have a screen for the words to be displayed on, but we took it anyways. We arrive at Hogi Yogi and the boys at Yoasis started helping us set up. During this time, I was freaking out in the back of the building and trying to finish a sign that we had just remembered to make. All of a sudden, I got this huge feeling to go see what was going on up front. When I got up there, everyone was sitting around the karaoke machine looking quite scared. The karaoke machine was not going to work. So I went back to finish my sign. I went back up front 5 minutes later and everyone looked happy as a clam!
Here is what I know happened.
A man was on a date. He was sitting a couple tables away and overheard them talking about how it was not going to work.
I guess he turned to Katie and friends and said something like, "Hello, I am an angel sent from heaven."
Just kidding! It was probably more like, "Hello, my name is Mike Streeter. It just so happens that i own a karaoke buisness."
HOLY CRAP!
That was the fastest miracle that I have ever seen!
Mike offered to help us on 1 condition- that we attend his baptism on Sunday. (I'm not sure if he was serious or not, but I'll be there!)
He started making some phone calls to get like an amp or something like that.
During this time, Paul, the awesome manager at Hogi Yogi, was also making phone calls to the sound guy in charge there.
Then Mike and his date left.
Everyone started showing up.
The ukulele concert started and ended.
Mike came back with all his stuff.
Boys at Yoasis and Mike set up karaoke stuff. They even got the words to come on the tv!!
We hear lots of Hannah Montana and raise big bucks.
Over all, I would say it was a bug success!!

Thank you very much to everyone who is supporting us! I'm very sorry that I can't name all of you right now, but here are some people that we owe huge thank you's to:

Mike Streeter (Duh!)
The people at Hogi Yogi (For letting us have it there)
The Bradfords (For letting us borrow your karaoke machine)
Marcia and Dennis Wright (For letting us borrow your cd's)
Kallie Lundquist ( For also letting us borrow your cd's)
Barbara Wright (For Bringing the ukuleles)
Shelly Stubbs, Miki Allen and Mauri Farr (For showing up to play the ukuleles)

I know there are so many more, and I promise if I think of them, I'll write them down.
Also, I know this doesn't have to do with anything but I know it would make Bunnie happy to hear. Many of us have a good friend named Cameron Kidman. He got baptized this morning at age 19.
Congradulations to Mike and Cameron on their baptisms!!!

Thanks again to everyone!!

It's on!

We are finally having our first karaoke night!!
Anyone and everyone is invited to come!
Where: The hogi yogi across the street from Provo high
When: Wednesday October, 15
Of course you get in for free. Then once you are in, a donation booth will be set up to donate even a dime if you feel like it.
Say you get hungry or you need a delicious "watermelon wave" while you are there watching a ukulele performance by Amy, Barbara and whoever the heck else feels like it. Don't worry! If you say you are with us, you get 20% off all ice cream and food! (Not including yoasis. But that stuff is really nasty anyway.)
Bring everyone you know and come prepared to party!!

Love and Ice Cream

Last night the young women (and Bosley) gathered at Suzanne's beautiful home.
We told them about our idea to raise 25,000 dollars for Bunnie!
I was a little nervous to see how the girls would react when we told them, but i dont know why i was nervous.
Of course it went over great!!
Everyone was so excited and they gave so many ideas of how we could raise money!
Infact, just today a bunch of us went and talked to the principal at PHS.
I was a little bit nervous again.
But he was very nice and extremely supportive! He told us that the student government was looking for something just like that! He even took us down to meet with the teacher that was over it, who was also excited and supportive.
They are just finishing up a fundraiser that they are doing for Stephanie and Christian, so starting November we will have donation jars going around Provo high!
A couple days ago I went to talk to Barbara to see if she would do a ukulele concert with me on one of the karaoke nights. She just got her tooth pulled and she told me not to talk to her :)
So I went over the next day to ask her again.
I told her and she just laughed real hard!
But she loves Bunnie just as much as anyone else so she said yes!!!
(If you have ever been to one of our famous ukulele concerts you know that you are in for a treat! Hopefully...)
Maybe one of these days we'll actually get some real dates planned.
Speaking of which, im off to talk to hogi yogi!
Thanks to everyone for helping out!!

xoxo, Amy

P.S. Brittany said that she would help me out with this blog, so soon it will be beautiful!!

Munnie for Bunnie

Hey everyone!
Suzanne, Katie and I came up with an idea to start a blog to keep everyone updated on the fundraisers we will be doing for Bunnie. (There will be lots!)
If you want to keep up on Bunnie's treatments, just go to: http://bunniebloggin.blogspot.com/.
Let me give you some background behind these fundraisers.
Bunnie came to church about 2 weeks ago and told us the news about her cancer.
Everyone cried.
Then we all said, "What can we do to help her?"
Well the young women made cute scrapbook pages to show our love for her.
Barbara made a quilt for her.
We gave her baskets of love.
But we just want to do more!
So we will.
Were going to help pay for her treatments!
Katie asked her friends at Hogi Yogi if we could have a karaoke night there.
All the weekends are booked until the middle of November.
We will plan a night on a friday or saturday then, but maybe for now we could do it like for Y.W. one night?
You guys let me know and i'll have Katie check if we can even do that.
If you didnt know, the color for non-hodgkins lymphoma is lime green!
We want to make lime green t-shirts and bracelets to sell at the fundraisers.
If any one has any more ideas just let me know.
We love you Bunnie!

xoxo Amy
